Irma Davila Garza passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 74 surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 10, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas to Senovio R. Davila and Guadalupe Mungia. Irma devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and care.

Irma found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time in her garden, tending to her beautiful pond, enjoy cutting her grass and collecting roosters. When she wasn’t outdoors, you might find her enjoying a motorcycle ride or watching football, enthusiastically cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Her family knew her as someone who lived life fully and with a smile.

She is survived by her loving husband, David A. Garza; the legacy will continue through her children, Bobby White and wife Patricia, Gary White and wife Josie, Isaac Mendez, Sara White and wife Carmen, David D. Garza and girlfriend Adriana Hernandez; and her many brothers and sisters, Velia Rocha, Mario Davila, Christopher Davila, Melinda Davila, Emma Garza, Senovio “Jimbo” Davila Jr., Teresa Cantu, Oscar Davila, Alex Davila, and Steven Davila. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy.

Irma was preceded in death by her brothers, Raul Davila and Freddy Davila and father Senovio R. Davila and mother Guadalupe Mungia Medrano.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with an evening service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at The Venue, 2202 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas 79401.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at The Venue. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

A firecracker until the very end, Irma lived boldly, spoke honestly, and loved fiercely. She was a feisty woman with a big heart, never wasting words and never holding back her care for others. Her legacy is one of strength, laughter, and love that will continue to light the way for her family.
