James Edward Carver, Jr.

James Edward Carver, Jr. (Little James) passed away April 3, 2024, at home in Lubbock, TX. He was born May 8, 1968, to James Edward Sr and Betty Lois (Justice) Carver, in Elizabethtown, N.C. James married Wynona Horrell March 18, 1989, and they renewed their vows August 30, 2008. He was a carpenter most of his life and an insurance adjuster the last 19 years. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, building things, and woodworking; “he was so talented, as was shown in all the wood work he completed in his home.” He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone.

James was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle, who loved his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Carver, Sr. Those left to cherish his memories are, his wife Wynona Carver, their son, Branden Carver, and their daughter, Nichole Carver, all of Lubbock; his mother, Betty Elixson of Dunn, a sister Tammy (Cyrus) Wood of Saint Pauls, N.C., 2 grandsons Wyatt Carver of Lubbock and Brandon Gage Carver of Saint Pauls, N.C., and 2 granddaughters, Serenity Carver of Lubbock, and Adaliea Carver of Saint Pauls, N.C.

The family of James Edward Carver, Jr. (Little James), will honor and celebrate his life with a memorial gathering from 1:00PM-2:00PM, May 25, 2024, at his sister's home in Saint Pauls, N.C
