James Izik Inman

December 29, 2004 — April 5, 2024

Lubbock, TX

James Izik Inman, 19, was born to Melinda Mullin and James Inman on December 29th, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. He was an easy baby that slept through the night and continued his peaceful nature into his adulthood. Izik was quick to learn to talk but took his time learning to walk while being doted on by his siblings, Ivan, Vivienne, and Gabriel.

Izik is survived in life by his mother, Melinda Mullin and father, James Inman; his siblings Ivan Inman, Vivienne Daigre and Gabriel Inman; brother-in-law Taylor Daigre; Nieces Luna Gonzales, Kairi Daigre and Freya Inman; Nephew Ares Inman; Grandparents Sherry Pullen and Oscar Olazaba;  Uncles Shannon Mullin, Skyler Stevens, Cody Pullen, and Joaquin Silva; Aunts Leah Silva and Katie Olazaba; and cousins Emily Silva, Alec Silva, Jaime Mullin, Logan Casey and Lily Mullin.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Dawn Olazaba, grandfather David Mullin, and nephew Jasper Gonzales.

Izik had a generally calm and witty air about him but was ambitious, driven, and determined. He graduated early from high school in September of 2022. He was a scholar, enjoying chess tournaments outside of school, a passion he was teaching to his niece Luna. He was also a phenomenal writer and loved to read books on finance, self-help, and auto-biographies.

He was a talented athlete with skills in wrestling, jiujitsu, and MMA. He considered wrestling as a career but found himself passionate about finance and investment opportunities. He always concerned himself with making sure his family was fiscally taken care of, considering what he could do to help them to be financially stable in the future. He had a strong work ethic and stayed with the same job at Sonic for three years.

His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, consistently popping wheelies through the neighborhood with his signature smirk lighting up his face. He loved his dogs, Bella, James and Jake and he enjoyed gardening, being gifted with a green thumb by his grandmother Sherry.

He was very involved with his family. He spent a lot of time doting over his nieces, Luna and Kairi, joking that he’d soon start their financial savings accounts or buy them motorcycles to start learning on.

He was a consistent help and companion to his mom and enjoyed going to the shooting range with her.   He also enjoyed helping with mechanical projects or working out with his brother, Ivan.

He was quiet and private, but close with his family. He was gentle and kind but also very silly. He was a true gift and the best brother, son, and friend anyone could ask for. He is sorely missed.
