James "Gordon" Tomlinson

James Gordon Tomlinson, 61, of Tahoka, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22, 2023.

Gordon was born July 19, 1961, in Beeville, Texas, to Billy and Jolene Tomlinson. He graduated from Tahoka High School.

Gordon was known for his gentle spirit, infectious laugh, and quick wit. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially the joy of his life, Blaze. He enjoyed farming, cooking for his friends, he loved raising show pigs, or watching Blaze show at stock shows. Gordon spent years as a volunteer EMT for Lynn County Hospital.

Gordon is survived by his mother, Jolene; wife, Emily; sons, Cody Tomlinson and Brandon Tomlinson; one grand-love, Blaze; One sister, Sheri (Michael) Pugh of Frisco, TX; Cruz and Olga Rivas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Tom; grandparents, OC and Emily Sikes, and Grover and Jesse Tomlinson.

The family would like to thank Anais Molina and the nurses and staff of Lynn County Hospital.

A visitation for Gordon will be held Monday, March 27, 2023, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka, Texas. His life will be celebrated following visitation at 11:00 AM, also at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka, Texas.
