Jana Sue Farmer

Jana Sue Farmer, 71, of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 17, 2024.  Jana was born on July 25, 1952, in Lubbock, to the late Charles Edward Box and Luna Mae (Thompson) Box.

Jana attended Lubbock schools, graduating from Monterey High School in 1970.  She later furthered her education by attending and graduating from Vogue Beauty College in 1992.

Jana loved to knit, crochet, collect Fenton glass and care for her devout dogs and cats.  She also sculpted clay figurine roses and jewelry.  She worked at Riversmith’s in Lubbock for many years, before retiring in 2015.  

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include two sons:  Christopher Shea Wilborn of Lubbock and David Paul Evatt of Kingsland; one brother, Dennis Box of Lubbock; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Allen Box; a sister, Laura Wallace.   

No services are planned at this time.  

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
