Jana Tidmore, 62, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lovington, New Mexico, to Charles Douglas Mead and Carolyn Hutson, Jana grew up with a strong sense of creativity, compassion, and resilience. On July 8, 1995, she married the love of her life, James Edward "Eddie" Tidmore of Lubbock, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.
Jana had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and her faithful Pomeranian, Barkley, was always by her side. She loved cooking and baking, often delighting family and friends with her delicious creations. Jana also found great joy in traveling with Eddie to their home in Alto, New Mexico, which she lovingly decorated to make it a special retreat for all who visited. In her creative studio, Jana explored painting, watercolors, and chalk art, always expressing herself through color and texture.
A proud supporter of Baylor University sports—her son’s alma mater—Jana took great pride in cheering on the Bears and flinging her green and gold afar.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Tidmore; son, Chase Tidmore of Dallas, TX; bonus son, Cody Tidmore of Lubbock, TX; mother, Carolyn Mead of Lubbock, TX; and sister, Susan Bridgforth of Plano, TX.
Jana was preceded in death by her father, Charles Douglas Mead.
Known for her strength, perseverance, and generous heart, Jana overcame many challenges with grace. She was a teacher, an organizer, and a devoted partner to Eddie for over 30 years. Her wisdom, kindness, and the beautiful memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
