Jenell Gurley, 84, of Lubbock, loving wife to Bill Gurley, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Jenell was born on December 6, 1941, in Somerville, Oklahoma, to the late Ladarell Box and Opal (Robinson) Box.

She met the love of her life, Bill Gurley, and they were united in marriage on October 11, 1957, in Levelland, Texas, and have enjoyed 68 years together.
Jenell worked as a Bridal Consultant at Dillard’s in the South Plains Mall for many years, retiring in 1996. She was also a true homemaker that tended to and took care of her loving family. She loved quilt making, sewing, and making sure the needs of her family were met. She has been a long-time member of South Plains Church of Christ, since 1973, of which she and Bill were one of the founding couples of the South Plains congregation.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
The family will receive friends in the church parlor following services.
In lieu of the customary remembrances of flowers, the family kindly asks that you donate to the Children’s Home of Lubbock, in Jenell’s memory.
