Jerry Lee Brown

Jerry Lee Brown (84) passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his home in Tahoka, TX. He was born Monday, October 10, 1938, to Bonnie and Verna Lee (Wilkins) Brown, in Tahoka, TX. Jerry attended and graduated from Tahoka High School, where he was a 1958 All-State Basketball Player. Jerry married Sandra Carolyn McNeely on Saturday, July 18, 1959. Together, they raised 2 children, Todd and Lani.

Jerry enjoyed farming, raising and breeding quarter horses, golf, and friends. He loved his family; he was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Tahoka Trinity Church.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Verna Lee Brown. Those left to cherish his many memories are his wife of 63 years, Sandra of Tahoka, his son Todd (Paula) Brown of Lubbock, his daughter Lani Schom of Louisville, TX; a sister Deloris (Harold) Fielding of Levelland, a brother Eugene (Tracy) Brown of Lamesa; grandchildren Chad, Crystal, Levi, and Brooke, and 8 great grandchildren.

The family of Jerry will have a memorial service, to honor his life and cherish the memories, on Saturday, at 2:00pm, July 15, 2023, at Tahoka Trinity Church at 1925 Lockwood St., Tahoka, with Todd Brown and Perry Shuffield officiating.
