Jesse "Flea" Martinez

Jesse “Flea” Martinez of Anton passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, at the age of 61.  He was born October 3, 1951 in Pecos, Texas to Ricardo and Maria (Uriostegui) Martinez, Sr.  Flea worked as a technician in the agriculture industry.  He loved playing the guitar and was a hard worker.  He enjoyed carpentry and was skilled at doing any project he undertook and loved holiday family gatherings and was a Church of Christ member.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eloisa Martinez; mother, Maria (Uriostegui) Martinez; three sons, Jaime and wife Catrina Martinez of Petersburg, Jesse and wife Jennifer Martinez, Jr. of Littlefield, and Mark Anthony Martinez of Anton; five daughters, Leticia Martinez of Littlefield, Michaela Wilson of San Antonio, Crystal Martinez, Beatrice and husband Lee Reyes and Sky and husband Adrian Gill all of Lubbock; brother Ramon Martinez; sister Maria Martinez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Flea was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Ricardo Martinez, Jr.

Visitation will be held 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 and 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 with Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Petersburg Cemetery.
