Jesus Mendez

Jesus Flores Mendez, 87, passed away January 3, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. He was born April 28, 1935, to Alifonso and Sarah (Flores) Mendez, in Crystal City, TX. Jesus married Antonia Ramirez, and together, the raised a family of 4 children, Jesse, Javier, Gracie, and Joel. Jesus went to work for, and many years later, retired from the City of Lubbock. He was a Nazarene, of the Protestant faith.

Those left to cherish the memories of Jesus are his wife Antonia, his children, Jesse Mendez, Javier Mendez, Gracie Carr, all of Lubbock, and Joel Mendez of Wichita Falls; siblings, Jose Mendez of Minneapolis, MN, Robert Garza of Albert Lea, MN, and Rosa Mendez of Albert Lea, MN, Leonor Leal of Enid, OK, and Ricardo Garza of Lubbock.

The family will honor the life of Jesus Mendez with a funeral service at 10:00AM, Monday, January 9, 2022, at Combest Funeral Chapel 2210 Broadway St. Lubbock, with burial at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodrow, TX.
