Jo Ann Ross

Jo Ann Zedlitz Ross went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 81, after fighting several years of dementia.

A private burial will be held for the immediate family in Tahoka Cemetery, in Tahoka. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Green Lawn Church of Christ in Lubbock on August 8, 2026, at 11 AM.

Jo Ann was born on September 2, 1944, in Paige, Texas to Otto Zedlitz and Elizabeth Dees Zedlitz Chancy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Harold Don Ross, three brothers: Fred, Aaron, and James Zedlitz; a sister, Opal Pearce and other cherished family members who welcomed her into eternal life.

Jo Ann is survived by three sisters: Florence Peregson of Sunray, Texas, Janis Rush and Patricia McKinley of Lubbock, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Family to Jo Ann was always her highest priority as she took great pride in maintaining relationships with friends and family as long as she could.

Jo Ann was a dear friend to all who got to know her because she genuinely cared about their lives and well-being. She will be missed by all who knew her.
