Joan Marie Weber
February 12, 1933 – April 1, 2026With hearts full of love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the beautiful life of Joan Marie Weber, who peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on April 1, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 93.
Joan was born on February 12, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward and Catherine Uhl. From the very beginning, her life reflected a gentle strength, a compassionate heart, and a joyful spirit that would become a blessing to everyone who knew her.
Joan was a woman whose heart was as abundant as the gardens she so lovingly tended, and whose spirit sang as sweetly as the songs she offered unto the Lord. She lived a life marked by faith, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Her life was not simply lived it was poured out as a blessing to others.
A proud graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland, Joan worked as a waitress and later as a gifted cook at Lewis Little Folks. But to those who knew her, she was much more than a cook she was a minister through hospitality. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, comfort, and joy. Every meal she prepared carried love, every sweet she made was a treasure, and every person who sat at her table felt the kindness of her soul. She had a special way of making people feel at home, and her love was often served one plate at a time.
Yet Joan’s greatest calling was found in her walk with God.
For many years, she faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher, pouring truth, compassion, and encouragement into the lives of young people. She did not just teach lessons she shaped hearts. She believed in the forgotten, stood up for the underdog, and gave hope to those who needed someone to believe in them. Her gentle words, patient spirit, and steadfast faith left an everlasting imprint on countless lives.
Joan also had a beautiful gift of worship through song. She sang in many church choirs over the years and blessed congregations with heartfelt solos. When she lifted her voice, it was more than music it was ministry. Her songs carried faith, comfort, and joy, and they touched the hearts of those who listened. Joan understood what it meant to worship not only with her voice, but with her whole life.
She found joy in the simple and beautiful things God created. Joan loved working in her yard, tending flowers and plants with care and devotion. Her garden reflected who she was gentle, nurturing, vibrant, and full of life. She also loved sewing, creating with her hands in quiet moments of peace, stitching beauty and love into the things she made.
Joan is survived by her loving children: Dean DiCarlo (Debbie), Richard DiCarlo, Dennis DiCarlo, Phil DiCarlo, Denise Costanzo (Vince), Laurene Waldman (Frank), and Annette Byers (Scott); along with ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom carry precious memories of her love, wisdom, faith, and tender care.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond J. Weber; and by her parents, Edward and Catherine Uhl. Her Siblings, Bob, Eddie, Rosemary and Mary Carol. survived by her Brother Bill.
Today, while our hearts grieve her absence, we do not sorrow without hope. We rejoice knowing that Joan’s race has been run, her labor is finished, and her faith has become sight. The woman who sang about Heaven has now stepped into its glory. The hands that planted flowers on earth now rest in the presence of the One who makes all things new. The voice that once sang in earthly choirs now joins the heavenly chorus around the throne of God.
Joan Marie Weber was a woman of deep faith, steadfast love, and beautiful grace. She was a Mother, Grandmother, Teacher, Worshiper, Encourager, and Friend but above all, she was a Faithful Child of God.
Her legacy will live on in every life she touched, every prayer she prayed, every lesson she taught, every meal she lovingly prepared, and every song she sang. Though she is no longer with us in body, the fragrance of her life remains like flowers in bloom, like a melody that lingers, like the warmth of a loving embrace.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
Your work here is finished.
Your song is still echoing.
And your love will never be forgotten.
She planted love, sang faith, served others, and finished her course in victory. Heaven is sweeter because Joan is Home.
