John Robert Joyner, Sr

John Robert Joyner, Sr. of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the age of 66.  He was born October 30, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico to Nathan and Dortha (Smith) Joyner.  John graduated from Artesia High School and worked in the auto parts industry. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Michele Joyner; two grandchildren, Krista Scott and Brittney Herington; and five great-grandchildren, Derrick, Marlie, Kylee, Brooklyn, and Blain.  John also leaves behind several friends and family members that have been an impact on his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Joyner, Jr.; and brother, Jim J. Joyner.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Idalou with the family receiving friend 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with interment to follow at the Idalou Cemetery.  The family suggests casual attire for the services.
