Johnny Mack Davis

Johnny Mack Davis, 69, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022.  Mr. Davis was born on November 6, 1952, in Amarillo, Randall County, Texas, to the late James Marvin Davis and Ruby Faye (Burton) Davis.

Mr. Davis attended Hale Center High School and graduated in 1971, before attending Texas Tech University, graduating many years ago with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and then in Nursing, and was a Registered Nurse.  He worked as a nurse in Alamogordo and Santa Fe, New Mexico, before retiring in 2002.  He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by one daughter, Emily Davis; one sister, Sandra Ellis of Lubbock; two nephews, Darrell Ellis of Chesapeake, Virginia, and James M. Ellis of Lubbock.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
