Jon Wayne Lamberson

A memorial service for Jon Wayne Lamberson is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas. Pastor Brad Ingram will officiate the memorial service. Jon passed away on July 28, 2023. Jon was born August 2, 1946, in Hedley, Texas to Thomas and Jonnie Webb Lamberson. Jon spent most of his childhood in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1964. He spent the majority of his career as a property title examiner for Service Title Company and Hugo Reed and Associates in Lubbock, Texas. Jon attended Hillside Christian Church in Lubbock. Jon had many and varied interests including art, woodturning, woodwork, square dancing, reading, and watching his great grandkids participate in their activities. He also enjoyed volunteering for Friends of the Library, Lubbock County 4H, serving as a board member of the Texas Boys Ranch, and serving as a past president of the Lubbock Lions Club. 

Jon is proceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; siblings Jimmie and Janice; and granddaughter, Amy Jo Forrest. Jon is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Sheila Forrest, Gerry Corder (wife, Kelli), and stepsons David, Drew, and Michael Echols. Jon also leaves behind grandchildren Angela Forrest, Amber Davis (husband, Casey), Kristopher Corder, Casey Bell (husband, Roy), Kaleb Corder (wife, Caitlin), Laura Jean Corder (husband, Josh Grassel), Jordan Jauer, and Micah Echols (husband, Will Snider). Jon is also survived by numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
