Jose Garzez

Jose Garzez, 87, off Lubbock passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born September 25, 1934 in Choate, Texas to Esteban and Louisa (Quintanilla) Garzez. Jose married Luisa Mendoza who preceded him in death. He was a carpenter and in his spare time he enjoyed building model cars and model homes. Jose was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jose Garzez Jr. (Angie), Mike Garzes (Joann), Andres Garses, Armando Garses, Esteban Garses (Manuela) and Angel Garses (Veronica); daughters Janie Studler (Charles) and Sylvia Garses; 40 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Luisa Garzez and daughters Olga Quinones and Mary Santana.

Visitation will be held at Combest Family Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 1-8 pm with Rosary being recited at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at10am with interment to follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
