Jose DeLeon (Joe) Mojica passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born on April 19, 1937 in Rosebud, Texas to Francisco and Aurelia (DeLeon) Mojica. Jose was a loving father who was always willing to help others. He worked as a concrete worker in the construction business. Jose enjoyed music and played the saxophone.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Arcelia Mojica, Imelda Torres and Deneen Vandergriff; his sisters, Victoria Covabarrio and Mary Molina; brothers, Julian Mojica, Juan Mojica and Frank Mojica; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as Tony Samarripa whom he raised as his son.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Aurelia Mojica and his brothers, Pilar Mojica, Benito Mojica and Genaro Mojica.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 21 from 1-8pm at the Venue on Broadway with a Celebration of Life service to be held at 6pm that evening at the same location.
