Joseph “Joe” Gonzales, 58, of Tahoka, suddenly passed away on Monday morning, September 11, 2024.  Joe was born on December 1, 1965, in Floresville, Wilson County, Texas, to the late Arthuro Gonzales and Genevieve (Montoya) Gonzales.

He attended schools in Floresville, graduating from Floresville High School in 1984.

He met the love of his life, Shannon Nieman, and they were married on January 26, 1990, in Bedford, Texas.

Joe was the Project Manager for Eagle Merchandising for over eight years, before retiring in 2021.  He loved to watch TV, enjoyed all types of sports and was a die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He also enjoyed the Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Chiefs and the San Antonio Spurs.  Joe enjoyed listening to alternative rock music and country music.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his loving wife, Shannon; three daughters:  Kali Stevens (fiancé Kevin Williams) of New Home, Kassidi Sneed (Joshua) of New Home, and Kayla Gonzales (partner, Chris Hutson) of Lubbock; two sisters:   Martha Estrada of San Antonio and Lisa DeLeon (Val) of San Antonio; one brother, Arthur Gonzales (Blanca) of San Antoniio; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dede Gonzales.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM, at the New Home Baptist Church in New Home, Texas.

All flowers for Joe's service need to be delivered to the family home at 471 FM 179 in Tahoka, Texas before 4 PM tomorrow, March 15, 2024.
