Joyce Gikas

Joyce Stone Gikas of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 84.  She was born April 11, 1928 in Archer City, Texas to Barney and Tommie (Singleton) Stone.  Joyce married John Gikas on March 21, 1948 and was a homemaker.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pampa where she lived for 74 years.  In 2002, Joyce moved to Lubbock to be closer to her daughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Tim of Fredericksburg and Grant and wife Brenda of Dallas; daughter, Karen Jacobsen and husband Douglas of Lubbock; sister, Dorothy Porter and husband Mike of Pampa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert Stone; and sister, Roberta Stone.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Pampa.
