Juanita Ybarra

Juanita Juarez Ybarra (79) passed away July 27, 2022. She was born May 13, 1943, to Abraham and Juanita (Tienda) Juarez, in Lexington TX. Juanita married Armando Ybarra, August 17, 1973. Juanita had 4 children, Pedro Castillo, John Castillo, Sylvia Ybarra and Katherine Salto.

She was a strong, Christian woman who feared the Lord. Juanita was born in Lexington, TX, and she lived the majority of her life in the Midwest. Some of these places include Chicago, IL, Jonesville, WI, and Fort Wayne, IN. Six years ago, Juanita and Armando moved to Lubbock to be closer to family and loved ones. Juanita enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling. These trips included visits to Hawaii, Spain, Canada, and Mexico. Juanita was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her son, John Castillo and sister, Pauline Coronado She is survived by her husband, Armando Ybarra; son, Pedro Castillo; daughters, Sylvia Ybarra, and Katherine Salto; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Corona of Chicago and Domingo Trevino of Lubbock, TX; and two brother, Justo Juarez of Fort Worth, TX, and David Cardenas of Lubbock, TX.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, under the supervision of Combest Family Funeral Homes. Juanita's family extends a special thank you to all those who loved and supported them while grieving the loss of their mother/grandmother.
