Kenneth Wayne Tyler

November 4, 1970 — July 8, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Kenneth Wayne Tyler, who departed this world on July 8, 2025, at the age of 54. Kenneth was also known as Wade or Tyler to those closest to him. He left a legacy of kindness, integrity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Born on November 4,1970 in Andrews, Texas, Kenneth grew up with a passion for learning. He attended Andrews Schools K – 12, where he cultivated lifelong friendships.

Kenneth was a loving son, brother, and uncle to his family. He was a particularly awesome uncle to his great nieces and nephews over the last five years, Unique, Zeariana, Autumn, Lehiam and Keelan. Since he lived across the street from them, he had quality fun time with them, teaching them manners, compassion and how to behave in public. Kenneth was a loyal friend to many. His warmth, wickedly funny humor, and generosity touched all who had the privilege to know him. He would, randomly, bring you presents that you never thought you needed, yet they were cherished because the items brought funny memories of him.

Throughout his life, Kenneth was known for his compassion, resilience, and steadfast support of others. In addition to being a server in the food industry he also took care of seniors, cleaning and running errands for them. He was a beacon of light in this life.

Kenneth will be deeply missed by all whose lives he enriched. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the countless memories shared together.

Kenneth is survived by his mother, Johnnie Shaw of Lubbock, Texas. Father, Harley Dan Tyler, Sr. and bonus Mom, Joy (West) Tyler of Brownwood, Texas. Also survived by brothers Harley Dan Tyler II and James Tyler of Andrews, Billy Tyler of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and sisters Charisa (Gunby) Williams of Lubbock, Texas, and Crystal (Tyler) Terry of Tijeras, New Mexico. He is also survived by many, many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held on August 2, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, 507 NE 4th St., Andrews, Texas, at 11:00 am. Friends and family are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your favorite charity in Kenneth’s memory.

May Kenneth rest in peace, knowing he was genuinely loved as a one-of-a-kind human being, who will never be forgotten by those who knew him.
