Kobe Lee Alonzo, age 18, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his home. Though his life was far too short, he made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kobe Lee was loved by many and will be remembered as a truly kind soul who consistently put others before himself. Through small gestures and quiet acts of generosity, he always looked out for those around him. His compassion, selflessness, and genuine heart touched countless lives, and his absence is deeply felt by all who knew him.
Kobe Lee loved playing baseball and basketball and spent much of his childhood growing up at the park, surrounded by friends and laughter. He attended Monterey High School, where he would have graduated this coming May. Kobe Lee had a strong passion for welding and was excited to pursue a career in the field, working hard toward a future he was proud of.
He was kind, funny, and protective, with a deep love for music and an incredible ability to make people smile. Many will remember Kobe Lee for his beautiful smile and the warmth he brought into every room. He had a whole lot of friends and family who loved him dearly and meant so much to so many.
Kobe Lee is survived by his loving parents, Venessa Alonzo and Elias Alonzo; his sisters, Kynzely Alonzo and Ka’Sandra Alonzo; his stepbrother, Elias Alonzo Junior; his Mudder and Tata, Sandra and Raymond Ramos; and his uncles, Robert Ramos, Raymond Ramos, and Ryan Ramos. He was also very close to his girlfriend, Amyra Trevino, who held a special place in his heart.
Kobe Lee shared an unbreakable bond with his big sister. He dreamed of doing great things for his family and believed deeply in the future they would build together. He was a great young man, and his legacy of love, kindness, and loyalty will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Rock City Church with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm. Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, January 12, 2026 at Rock City Church with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
