Kraig A. Pitman

Kraig Pitman, 61, of Lubbock, loving husband, father and son, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 26, 2024, after a sudden illness. Kraig was born on January 12, 1963, in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.  His adoptive parents are Bob Pitman and the late Yvonne (Taylor) Pitman.

Kraig attended Lubbock schools, graduating from Coronado High School in 1981.  He met Connie Rishel, the love of his life, and they were united in marriage on August 10, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas.  Out of this union was born a son, Seth.

Kraig’s family owned Service Air, Inc. in Lubbock for many years, before Kraig took over the business, which he has owned and operated continuously for 35 years since 1989.  He loved all sports, but especially little league baseball, which he umpired and coached, as he loved kids.  He was an avid, die hard New York Yankees fan to the very end.  He was also somewhat of a history buff.

Kraig has been described as a sweet man, congenial, never had a bad word to say, was always there to assist and support you.   He was known to be super competitive, but never in a negative way.    He was one of the nicest individuals you would ever want to meet, very supportive and patient, serving as a role model and was very encouraging to others.   Kraig has been a faithful member of Aldersgate Church for the last 29 years.

Those left to honor and cherish the memory of Kraig include his wife, Connie of Lubbock; one son, Seth Pitman of Lubbock; his father, Bob Pitman of Lubbock.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne (Taylor) Pitman.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Aldersgate Church, 10306 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79423.  Pastor Ryan Smallwood will be the officiant.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Lubbock.
