Larry Don Williams (70) passed away July 17, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. He was born May 2, 1956, to Terrell Carroll “Tuck” and Mahota Lee (Roseberry) Williams, in Lubbock, TX.
After high school, Larry entered the United States Navy, first working on gas turbines, on various aircraft, then working on gas turbines along with other engines on ships; proudly earning both the Aviation Warfare, Surface Warfare and Engineering Officer of the Watch, along with many other awards. With many deployments from both coasts, as he said: “going around the world 2 ½ times” he spent a total of 23 years proudly serving his country and retired with an honorable discharge as a GSCS AW/SW.
After retiring from the Navy, Larry continued to work in the Gas Turbine field for many years, in many different places as he was highly sought after for his knowledge in the field. Larry was a dedicated provider for his family. He worked hard to ensure those he cared about were taken care of. In his time off, he enjoyed motorcycling, skiing, and the beach. He took comfort, in his final days, being with his kids, quoting Psalm 23 and leaning into the Lord to take him to his eternal home.
Larry will be greatly missed by his family and his friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Terrell “Tuck” and Mahota Williams, and a sister, Sonya Williams. Those remaining to carry on his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughter, Ainsley (Jason) Brown, and son, Daniel Williams; grandchildren, Memphis, Knox, Aubrey, Rowan, and Dawson Brown, and a brother, Terry Williams.
