In Loving Memory of Laurie Ann Lopez
Laurie Ann Lopez was a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and loving grandmother whose life was defined by her unwavering love for family, her generous spirit, and her ability to bring joy to those around her.
Born on March 30, 1980, Laurie's journey was marked by radiant kindness and a warmth that embraced everyone fortunate enough to know her. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was always quick with a smile, a laugh, or a comforting word. Her presence brought light to difficult days and reminded others that happiness could often be found in life's simplest moments.
Family was the center of Laurie's world. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children and grandchildren, always placing their needs above her own. Whether through her guidance, encouragement, or unconditional love, she made certain her family knew they were cherished. The memories she created through family gatherings, shared stories, and countless acts of love will remain treasured for generations to come.
Laurie also enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafting custom T-shirts and selling wraps and prints. These pursuits reflected her artistic nature, entrepreneurial spirit, and vibrant personality. Yet among all of life's joys, nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment she shared with them.
Laurie is lovingly remembered by her mother, Norma Lopez; her brothers, Rick Lopez and Phillip Lopez; her children, Dezarea Ochoa, Joshua Ochoa, Justin Ochoa, Aaron Ochoa, and Maddison Ochoa; her children's spouses and partners, Michael Gallardo, Alize Rodriguez, Asia Gomez, Adriana Castillo, and Ricardo Puente; and her beloved grandchildren, Adrianna Ochoa, Maliyah Ochoa, Nasaiah Ochoa, Adeleyah Ochoa and Jaiden Gallardo.
She was preceded in death by Guadalupe Salinas, Raul Salinas, Jeremy Garza, and Christian Garza.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Laurie's life and pay their respects during a visitation on June 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway Street, Lubbock, Texas 79401. Funeral services will be held at the same location on June 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Though her time with us was far too short, Laurie's love, laughter, and compassion leave a lasting legacy. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the countless memories shared by those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
