Lionel Carl Peterson, a beloved son, devoted husband, and nurturing father, departed this life far too soon on July 5, 2025, leaving an indelible mark on all who were privileged to know him. Born on November 13, 1987, in the radiant city of San Diego, California, he epitomized warmth and kindness, qualities that radiated throughout his life as he took on the mantle of an Oil Field Supervisor with passion and integrity.

A proud graduate of high school, Lionel’s education laid the foundation for a career that he approached with unwavering dedication, showcasing his remarkable ability to lead with both strength and compassion. His commitment not only advanced his career but also served as an inspiration to those around him, cementing his legacy in an industry he cherished.

Lionel shared a profound bond of love with his wife, Shelby D'laine Peterson, and together they nurtured a beautiful family. His children, Grayson and Summit Peterson, were the joys of his life, embodying his legacy and vibrant spirit. He was anchored in the love of his mother, Jane Peterson, and cherished his siblings, Nissa and Cullen Peterson, whose closeness formed the fabric of his family’s unity. In-law parents Janice and Dean Stephens also held a special place in his heart, enriching his life with added warmth and support.

Though Lionel's earthly journey has concluded, the memories he created within the hearts of his loved ones will forever remain vibrant. His guiding presence, laughter, and unwavering support will be sorely missed.

A memorial service commemorating his extraordinary life will be held on July 16, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, at Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas. As family and friends gather to honor his memory, they will undoubtedly reflect on the remarkable man that Lionel was and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
