Lola Sertuche

Lola Garza Sertuche (89) passed from this life July 9, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. She was born September 6, 1932, in Marlin, TX, to Mr. and Mrs. David Sertuche. Lola worked in food production, making pies for over 20 years. She not only worked but was instrumental in 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. “Grandma loved to cook, she was very outspoken, and raised us with love. We love you grandma, you will always be in our hearts.”

Lola was preceded in death by her mother and a sister. Those remaining to cherish her memories are: a two daughters, Delores Sartuze and Mary Cerna; 5 grandkids, Lora, Margaret, Julie, Vanessa, and Johnny; and 4 great-grandkids.

Lola’s family will gather at the Venue on Broadway (Combest Family Funeral Homes, located at 2210 Broadway), for a visitation on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 10:00Am at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
