Lucy Munos

Lucy Munos, 80, of Lubbock, devoted wife of David Munos, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Lucy was born on June 16, 1943, in Rocky Ford, Otero County, Colorado.

Lucy attended and graduated from Olton High School in Olton, Texas.

She met the love of her life, David Munos, and they were united in marriage on September 13, 1965, in Olton, Texas.

Lucy loved her Lord and Savior, her family and friends with all her heart.  She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.  She also loved being an aunt to all her nieces and nephews, always wanting to cook for everyone and make them a hand crocheted blanket.  When she cooked, baked or sewed, she did it with so much love.   She enjoyed watching her game shows on TV, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, as well as watching sci-fi movies.   She enjoyed her knitting and crocheting, entering a lot of her works in the local fair, which she won many ribbons for.

We will miss her smile and her love so much, as she loved so unconditionally.  Thank you to everyone who knew her and know that she loved you all!!

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, David; three sons:  David Munos, Jr. and wife Johanna of Mississippi, Anthony Munos and wife Laura of Lubbock, and Rudy Munos and wife Kristin of Lubbock; one daughter, Christine Villanueva and husband Tony of Lubbock; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alfred Nolan and Floyd Sauceda; one sister, Mary Smith.

A visitation for Lucy will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway in Lubbock.  Following visitation, the Rosary will be recited at 1 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM.
