Luis P. Salas, 82, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born on June 21, 1940 in Laredo, Texas to Refugio and Teresa (Perez) Salas. Luis worked for 30 years as a maintenance engineer at the Methodist Hospital, then he worked for another 28 years in the shipping and receiving department at Sears before retiring in 2008. He married Victoria Perez on December 24, 1960 in Laredo, Texas.

Luis loved all sorts of woodworking, he always had an immaculate yard and loved all kinds of landscaping, and he was a fan of all kinds of mariachi music.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Victoria Salas; son, Luis Salas, Jr.; daughters, Teresa (Ruben) Cantu, Mary Helen (Greg) Simmons, and Margaret (Eric) De La Rosa; siblings, Justo Salas, and Maria Luisa Trevino; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Irene Trevino; brothers, Alberto Ramos, Benny Salas, and Isidro Salas; and sister, Soccoro.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 1:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary service at 6:00pm at the Venue on Broa
