Magdeleno Salazar of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the age of 91.  A distinguished minister and a beacon of wisdom and faith whose presence touched countless lives, he leaves behind a legacy etched deeply into the hearts of those who knew him.

Magdeleno Salazar’s life was a testament to unwavering devotion, both in service to his country and his spiritual calling. From 1956 to 1958, he answered the noble call of duty as a member of the United States Army, serving honorably in Panama.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa Guerrero of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Sam Ramos and Sonya Garcia and husband Tony; and great-grandchildren, Sadie, Aaron, and Matthew Ramos.

Magdeleno was preceded in death by his parents; sons-in-law, John Guerrero and Tony Guerrero; and grandson, Trey Guerrero.
