Marian "Rusty" Lemmon

Marian “Rusty” Joyce Lemmon, 74, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

Marian was born on March 24, 1948 in Abilene, Texas to Hardie Allen Dement and Syble Alvina Evans Dement.  She was raised in Spur, Texas, and everyone knew her as “Rusty”.  She had a kind heart and free spirit.  She loved her family and dogs.  She had worked at the school and daycare at her church.

Rusty is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Lacy Pugh, grandchildren, Justin Jiminez, David Acevedo, and Robert Karr, four great grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Kylee, and Anablelle, three sisters, Polly Taylor, Kay Dement, and Linda Day, brother, Rowdy Dement, and had an extended family in Fort Worth from her previous marriage to Richard Lemmon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardie and Alvina Dement and her beloved son, Hardie Earl Edwards.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, 455 West Rock Island Avenue, in Boyd, Texas.
