Marilynn Sams

Marilynn Denise Sams, 65, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born October 2, 1956, in Morton, Texas to David Lewis Linder and Edith M. (Rountree) Linder. Marilynn married the love of her life, Gary Don Sams. They were together for 50 years and married for 47 years. Marilynn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and was known as the "Tang lady" to many. Marilynn was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish Marilynn's memory is her husband of 50 years, Gary Sams; her eldest son, Alfred Sams, his wife, Winter, and their three children; her daughter, April Sams and her four children; and her youngest son, Arthur Sams and his two children.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Aldersgate Church.
