Michael Dean Dunlap of Lubbock 68.
Michael was born to William Dean Dunlap and Frances Holmes Dunlap. Michael loved to go fishing, spend time at the lake and enjoyed being outdoors as well as watching the Dallas Cowboys play. There was nothing in this world that Michael loved more than his family.
Michael's entire existence was built around his family. Michael was a phenomenal man who stepped into the father roll with ease. Not only was he an amazing father to his beautiful children but he also extended that fatherly role to his beautiful nieces as well. Michael is a huge piece of the Dunlap Foundation. In Michaels eyes there was no wrong too big. He always gave unconditional love no matter the circumstances. He might have cursed you out a time or two but even that was given with genuine love.
Michael attended Wheatly Elementary School, Alderson Jr. High School, and Estacado High School. He then went on to college at Texas Tech where he studied Architecture.
Michael Dean is preceded in death by his father, William Dean Dunlap; Brother, Autry Dunlap; nephew, Kendrick Dunlap and beloved daughter, Breona Shalee Dunlap.
Left to cherish his memory and legacy are his children, Michael Sean Dunlap (Juquetia Dunlap), Jahria Dunlap, Kenneth Sedberry (Chanta Sedberry) and Tyrone Sedberry. His mother, Frances Holmes Dunlap; his sister, Artheria Dunlap; his brothers, Kenneth Dunlap and Donald Dunlap; two nieces, Tristan Dunlap and Wyakishia Dunlap; nephew, Kenneth Jr Dunlap and his grandchildren, Montaisia, Detreaviean, Kiearra, Michael Jr, Breona Yvette, Chaz and Chantasia. As well as his great-granddaughter, Kaileigh. Also left to cherish his memory are the two amazing women who helped create his legacy, Cynthia Dunlap and Annette Session, and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends that were dear to his heart.
Michael Dean will be incredibly missed. His infectious laugh, radiant smile and one-of-a-kind voice. Including his profound love for a few choice curse words. To know him was to truly love him. See you on the other side, we miss you deeply already.
