Mikayla Analee Henson, age 15, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on June 24, 2010, in Littlefield, Texas, to Kristelda Anne Ramirez and Brandon Chase Henson.
Mikayla was a student at Lubbock-Cooper High School, where she was in the ninth grade. She was known for her love of hip hop dance and enjoyed spending time shopping. Her vibrant spirit, creativity, and youthful energy left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Mikayla is lovingly remembered by her mother, Kristelda Grinstead; her father, Joshua Grinstead; her stepfather, Jacob Fannin; her brothers, Joshua Wyatt Grinstead, Nolan Henson, and Ruben Henson; and her sisters Ava Olivas , and Brooklyn Meatte.
She is also survived by her grandparents, Christopher Ramirez, Isabel Coronado, Connie Tuck, Bobby Tuck, Kimberly West, and Vance West; and her great-grandmothers, Hope Ramirez and Mary Rawlinson.
Mikayla will be fondly remembered by her aunts, Anabelle Ramirez, Liana Hunter, Alysha Bustos, Kara Henson, Alexx Fade, and Jayanna Bishop, and Brittany Tuck; her uncles, Mason Acevedo, Dylan Hunter, Daniel Crossley, Kristian Granado, Kyle Fannin, Joshua Wayne Henson, Nathan Henson, Nick Henson, Blake Grimes, and Waylon Grimes, and Keith Tuck.
Though her time was far too short, the love Mikayla shared and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Services
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed immediately by services at 3:00 p.m., at The Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401.
