Milton R. Brumley, 86, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Brumley was born on March 29, 1940, in Megargel, Archer County, Texas to the late Emmitt Clay Brumley and Hazel M. (Chaney) Brumley.
He met the love of his life, Oneta Hooper, and they were married. Oneta preceded him in death on June 10, 1998.
He was a Landman Consultant for almost 70 years, before retiring in 1992. He loved old western and war movies, travelling to Midland and dancing. He was a member of the Golf Course Church of Christ in Midland. He also served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include two sons: Douglas Brumley and wife Maria of Monahans, and Gregory Ray Brumley of the DFW metroplex area, and five grandchildren. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son Jeffrey Brumley.
No services are planned. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
