Pam "Shorty" Strong Davis

Pam Strong Davis, 74, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Pam was born on July 29, 1947, in Lubbock to the late Samuel David Strong II and Ellouise Jane (Townsend) Strong.

She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School in 1965. She attended the University of Hawaii and Texas Tech University.

Pam married Stephen R. Davis, on May 27, 1972, in Denver CO.

Pam was a Professional Artist who specialized in painting and metal sculpture. Her passion was animal portraits. She loved most anything outdoors, especially when family and friends were involved. Her hobbies included photography, hiking, camping, fly fishing, horses, and skiing.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steve Davis, and her brother Pat Strong. She is survived by two nephews, Matthew Strong and his wife Julie of Dallas, David Strong and his wife Line of Dripping Springs; one niece, Tiffany Strong Davis and her husband Andy of McKinney; four grand-nephews; a brother-in-law, Jon Davis of Dallas, TX, and a sister-in-law, Janey Strong of Lubbock, TX.

Pam was a fighter, surviving and thriving for 16 years while battling ovarian cancer. She lived each day to its fullest.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Paul Carpenter as the officiant.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at www.ocrahope.org and the Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center in Lubbock at www.give.covenanthealth.org
