Patricia Lujan

Patricia Joan (Stroud) Lujan, 90, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. She was born April 13, 1932, to Raymond and Cleo (Williams) Stroud, in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Patricia attended school in Espanola, New Mexico, graduating from Espanola High School in 1950. Upon graduating, she married Jose N. Lujan, August 2, 1950. Together, they raised 3 children, Martha, Rickey, and Terry.

Patricia, also known as Patty, always thought of others first. She was of the Methodist faith and her heart was filled with kindness and compassion. She provided comfort to her loved ones through her gentle and loving presence. Patty had a witty sense of humor that kept everyone around her laughing, and she made the most amazing Christmas cookies. She enjoyed animals, baking, and loved her family.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Jose, her parents, Raymond and Cleo, and a sister, Helen Atwater. Those remaining to cherish her many memories are her children, Martha A. Montoya, Rickey Lujan, and Terry Lujan; her grandchildren, Vanessa Montoya, Paul Montoya, Jered Lujan, Crystal McDermott, Dusty Lujan, T.J. Lujan, and 7 great grandchildren.

Patty’s family would like to extend a special ‘Thank You” to Hospice of Lubbock. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes, Lubbock.
