Rebecca Kim Griffin, 64, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1959, to Conrad E Story and Christine Story in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Becky attended school in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High school in 1978. On September 28, 1984, she married David Dwayne Griffin in Lubbock.
She worked at MLK Bingo and Logan’s roadhouse for many years and created lasting friendships and facilitated hilarious memories for everyone she encountered. Becky loved estate selling and playing bingo with her beloved friends and caring for her dog “donkey.”
Despite fighting pancreatic cancer for 13 months, she remained hopeful and optimistic until the very end. She had a knack for making people laugh and feeling welcome.
She will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Glenn Story, her three children, Sarah Turnerhill and her husband Harrison, Tyler Griffin and his wife Gabrielle, J’lynn Mendoza and her husband Dustin, Grandchildren, Harrison, Mason, Tatum, Arya, Silas, Barrett and Micah, along with a slew of friends and many she considered work family.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father Conrad and Christine Story and her husband David Griffin.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Venue on Broadway from 2:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Venue on Broadway at 2:00p.m.
