Rickie Salas

Rickie Salas, 50, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2025. A visitation service will be held on Thursday June 12, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. at Combest Venue on Broadway. A funeral service will be held in The Venue on Broadway, Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

Rickie was born in Lubbock in 1975 to Juan and Rosa Salas. From an early age, Rickie brought laughter and joy to everyone he met. He attended Monterey High school where he was an avid baseball player. He later started his family and pursued a career as a captivating salesman, and took residence in Massachusetts before returning to Lubbock for the duration of his life. Rick was passionate about music, comedy, and cinema. He carried these passions and love for his family throughout his life, always putting the needs of the ones he loved before his own.

Rickie was preceded in death by his father, Juan Salas. He is survived by his two loving children, Nicholas (Valerie) and Daniella Salas; his mother, Rosa Salas; his sister, Lori Hernandez (Jeff); and brother, Eric Salas.

Rick will be remembered for his charm, charisma and caring nature. His devotion to his family and children was unwavering, and his humor and smile were a gift to all who knew him.
