Rita Kay (Baker) Linde, 77, of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on July 11, 1946, in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, to the late Dwight Baker and Donna Ruth (Biegar) Baker.

Rita was married to John Linde. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2019.

Rita was a real estate agent and property manager for many years.  She loved to make knickknacks, had a talent for arts and crafts, loved to make Christmas ornaments and paint tin plates.  She also loved to cook, travel and camp, enjoying mountains and lakes.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include one daughter, Renee Carrillo and her husband Gerald of Lubbock; one sister, Bonnie Hayes of Yakima, Washington; four grandchildren:  Richard Suit, Trey Vargas, Taran Vargas and Jonathan Linde; four great-grandchildren: Amelia, Elin, Shepherd and Levi Suit.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son:  Bryan Linde, and one brother, Drex Baker.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 28, 2023, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Lisa Held and Rachelle Arredondo will be the officiants.  Services are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of the South Plains, 4413 82nd Street, Suite 135, Lubbock, TX 79424.
