Lubbock

Robert “Bob” Leon Gee, Jr. of Lubbock passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the age of 72. He was born on August 19, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas to Robert Leon and Stella Mae (Parker) Gee, Sr. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Texas Technological College (now Texas Tech University). Bob retired from Poole Chemical as a fertilizer salesman. On December 18, 1959 he married the love of his life Barbara Tomlinson in Littlefield.  Bob served our country with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Llano Estacado Emmaus Community, Epiphany of Texas, Lakeridge United Methodist Church, and TIA.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara; children, Kathy Stephenson, Robert Leon Gee, III (Melinda), Laura Nobles (Brandon), Cassie Emanuel (John), and Skylar Gee; sisters Eva Faulkenberry, and Vivian Long; grandchildren, Sarah Baston, Anthony Baston, Kye Stephenson, Tori Stephenson, Tarah Gee, Jessica Edge, Addison Gee, Parker Gee, Harley Haislip, Destynee Nobles-Mort, Josh Emanuel, Jason Emanuel and Michael Emanuel; 5 great-grands; and a host of well-loved extended family members and friends.

Bob will be remembered for his strong faith, his sense of humor, his unconditional love for his family, his phenomenal cooking, and for being the hands, feet and voice of Christ to so many people.

Bob was preceded in death by his infant son; parents; sisters, Beth Tedford and Oveta Cox; son-in-law, Rick Stephenson.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Oakwood United Methodist Church at 2215 58th St. in Lubbock, Texas.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of Lubbock or Kairos Outside.
