Robert Pitt Lee, 75, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Clyce Edward Lee and Lucille (Harmon) Lee.

He attended Lubbock High School and graduated with his senior class.

He met the love of his life, Angelia Payton, and they were married on December 24, 1993.

Robert liked John Wayne and western movies, liked to watch the news on television and was everybody’s Dad. He loved his family and especially their grandchildren. He worked as a truck driver for many years and before he retired in 2024, he was a bus driver for Lubbock Independent School District. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970, and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp in 1970.

Those left to honor and cherish Robert include his wife, Angelia; six children: Katie Thomason (Avery) of Lubbock, Daniel Lee (Jennifer) of Smyer, Amanda Franklin (Dane) of Lubbock, Tamara Casal of Austin, Robert Munyan (Candice) of Des Moines, Iowa and Robert Wayne Hickman (Cindy) of Shallowater; siblings: Dan Lee (Linda) of Shallowater, Fred Lee (Sherinna) of Lubbock, David Lee of Lubbock, Bud Crawford of Lubbock, Flora Covey of Dennison; fifteen  grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harold Hickman; two sisters: Vonnie Stopher and Frances Crawford.

Visitation for Robert will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Oak Crest Suite of Combest Family Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX. Burial will be in the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Lubbock at a later date.
