Lubbock

Robert C. Littlefield, III, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on July 22, 1952, to the late Anita (Reid) and R.C., Jr. Robert's journey began in the heart of Lubbock, where he attended Monterey High School, laying the foundation for a future filled with accomplishments. His pursuits led him to Texas Tech University, where he earned a degree in Accounting, forging not just a path for his professional life but also nurturing a lasting loyalty to the Red Raiders that would follow him through all his days. For his entire career, Robert dedicated himself to the field of insurance, a profession where he not only excelled but also formed many life-long relationships. Robert was a faithful believer and member of Southcrest Baptist Church since his baptism in 1962. He taught fourth grade Sunday School for many years as well as directed an adult Sunday School class full of lifelong friends.

As a father, he was a constant source of encouragement and support. He was their biggest fan, always rallying them forward in their endeavors and uplifting them. He took immense pride in his role, celebrating every achievement of his children. Robert's life was enriched further by the joy of being a Papa to his most treasured granddaughter, Molly Studdard. Amongst his many hobbies, Robert found solace and joy in the great outdoors, evidenced by his passion for hunting and his later interest in beekeeping. He loved to share stories of his many travels through the years with friends and family. His favorite places were Ruidoso, Las Vegas, and the back of his Harley Davidson motorcycle riding with his close friends and children. He loved a good card game (gin rummy and skip-bo!) and spent a lot of time on his back patio sharing his stories, opinions, and dry sense of humor, usually with classic rock blasting in the background.

Robert is survived by his children, Ellie Studdard and her husband Cameron of Austin, Laura Marie Littlefield of Colorado Springs, and Rob Littlefield, IV and his wife Kondi of Shallowater; sister, Jo Beth Horney of Lubbock; and extended family who loved him dearly.
