Roberta Harrell

Roberta “Bertie” Nell Harrell, 89, of Lubbock went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Bertie was born October 23, 1933 in Ralls, TX to Robert and Nell Reese. She worked for 25 years as a school cafeteria worker. Bertie was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading books and watching western movies. She also loved watching love stories and any movie on her more than 200 VCR tapes. Bertie also enjoyed camping and a good meal.

Bertie is survived by her daughter, Tana Bowen of Bedford, TX; son, Mike Harrell of Lubbock, TX; siblings, Sue Crone, Phil Reese and wife Virginia, all of Ralls, TX, and Betty Fewell of Overgaard, Arizona; grandchildren, David, Chris, Jeff, and Bryan; great grandsons, Andrew, Conner, and Rodney; great granddaughters, Amber, Madison, Makala, Asia, Blossom, Emelie, and Kaidence.

Bertie was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Harrell: son in law, Mike Bowen; brother, Robert Reese; and sister, Thelma Mallow.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the celebration of life service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
