Roberto Chavarria

Roberto Chavarria, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Hobbs, NM, at the age of 74. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on June 7, 1951, he dedicated his life to hard work and bringing joy to those around him, most especially his family.

Roberto was proud to serve as a laborer for Gary Jackson Farms, where he established strong friendships and a reputation for his reliability and dedication. With every day's work, he carried with him not only the pride of earning his living, but also the commitment to supporting his family, which he cherished above all else.

Roberto's personality shone brightly in every interaction. Known for his kindness and warm-heartedness, he had an innate ability to make everyone feel at ease. His delightful sense of humor turned everyday moments into lasting memories, leaving an imprint of joy on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. He was particularly fond of spending time with his family, relishing gatherings during the holidays when laughter echoed warmly through the rooms filled with love.

He leaves behind two daughters, one son, and his loving siblings, including Jesus Chavarria, along with a host of nieces and nephews who adored him dearly. Each of them carries within them a piece of Roberto’s spirit, from his infectious laughter to his unwavering support, which touched their lives in countless ways.

Roberto was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucia Chavarria and Victor Chavarria, who surely welcomed him with open arms. Their memories will forever live on, mingling with Roberto's legacy of love, kindness, and humor.

The community is invited to pay their respects and celebrate Roberto’s life during the visitation on January 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX. A funeral service in his honor will follow at 1:00 PM.
