Rod S. Wilson, 64, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Rod was born on March 10, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas to Velda E. (Malcolm) Wilson and the late Bill Wilson.
Ron attended and graduated from Brownfield High School in 1975, and then attended Texas Tech University.
He married Carol Semons in Louisiana, and she preceded him in death in 2005.
Ron loved sports, reading and traveling. He worked as an insurance claims adjuster for farmers for over 25 years, most recently working at Agri Sampo North America Crop Insurance Company.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Velda Wilson of Lubbock; one brother, Michael Wilson of Lubbock, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Wilson, on August 5, 1988, and his wife, Carol Wilson in July of 2005.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Ken Carter, of Southcrest Baptist Church, will be the officiant. Final rites and interment are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
