Ronnie W. Sears

Mr. Ronnie W. Sears, 65, of Lubbock, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie was born on April 16, 1960, in Plainview, Hale County, Texas, to the late Alvie Lee Sears and Gwendolyn Irene Cargill.

Ronnie loved to ride motorcycles, archery, hunting/shooting, and dearly loved his family and all his nieces and nephew. He loved to make toys, making tops (aka, yo-yo’s) and giving them to the children and adults. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake, boating and riding jet skis. Although he did not have a church home, he believed in the Lord and that God was everywhere.

Ronnie worked as a pump installer for Castro Company Pump, his father’s company, for over 30 years, before retiring in 2015.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Debbie; four children: Jason Wayne Sears and wife Jennifer of Bogata,, Kayla Renee Pruitt of Bogata, Lisa Lee Sears and husband Joe Herrera of Lubbock, and Ashley Nichole Sears of Lubbock; two brothers: Bill Sears of Dimmitt, TX and Jay Sears of Anson, TX; four sisters: Brenda Black, Gwen Sears, Deanna Birdwell of Dimitt and Ginger McCree of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Toby Lynn Sears; two great grandchildren, Ethan Herrera and Hayden Pruitt.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
