Rosie passed peacefully from this life on Friday May 10, 2024. She was born August 30, 1949, to Dolores Salas in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

She grew up in Mexico and was the eldest of her brothers.  She would help care and nurture them as a sister would.  She would help keep them out of trouble. She was a wonderful sister.  She was very close to her mother and was a loving daughter. She graduated from a private school in Piedras Negras. She received her nursing license from Mexico. When returning to the states, she received her associate’s in nursing from South Plains.  She worked in the medical field and in home health for many years.  She had a gift about her for caring for others. She was also a licensed hairstylist. She enjoyed both of these traits very much.

Rosie was a beautiful and strong soul. She loved so much and gave even more. She was one of those people that had a strong presence about her. She loved life and everything that was in it. Traveling was one of her most important things she did. One of her favorite places to go to was San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. She would also take trips to go and visit many different churches in various locations. She had stories about all the places and people she visited and met. Those were proud accomplishments she had. She spoke multiple languages. Rosie loved nature. She enjoyed just taking drives just to see and experience the beauty of her surroundings. To say that she loved animals (any animal) is an understatement. She always had a unique understanding with them.

Her devotion to her catholic faith was a huge part of who she was. Her belief in the power of prayer was a strong part of her faith.  She was an usher at the church that she attended. Rosalinda was a strong, beautiful, independent and adventurous woman.  She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be in our memories and we will forever hold our love for her in our hearts. The love that she shared to all will be cherished. We are thankful for her life and honored to have shared time with her. She will be deeply and greatly missed.

Rosalinda is survived by brothers, Lupe Flores Jr (Jo) Lubbock, Tx, George Flores (Debbie) Lovington, NM, William Flores Earth, TX, Frank Flores (Cristella), Lubbock, TX, Andy Flores Littlefield, TX, Hector Flores Burleson, TX, Maternal aunts; Rosaelia Deleon, San Antonio, TX, Mona Leal, Eagle Pass, TX. Many nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by, Lupe Flores Sr. (father), Dolores Salas Flores (mother), Gerardo Flores (brother), Dr. Mario Salas Sr. (brother).

Our family would like to give our thanks and gratitude for all the care and support that Lubbock Hospitality showed for her throughout the past few years. And also to the Hospice team that continued her care during the last part of her life’s journey. Our hearts are filled with much appreciation.
