Ruben G. Torres

Ruben G. Torres Sr., was born November 1, 1954 and went to be with the Lord July 30, 2024.

He graduated from Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1972, where he met his first wife Frances Gonzales. Shortly after meeting they married and relocated to Lubbock, Texas. In their union they had six children and born unto them were 12 grandchildren and three great granddaughters. Ruben was a devoted Christian/Catholic who enjoyed praying and attending church faithfully. During his leisure time he enjoyed listening to music, playing basketball, co-ed baseball and was part of a bowling league in Lubbock for Furr's Grocery Store. 

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Sr., and Elvira Torres, his sisters Lorena, Mary Jo, Dominga (Dee), and Rosa. 

Ruben was survived by four brothers, Miguel Jr., Daniel, Andres (Andy), and Albert Torres; his two younger sisters, Diane and Nancy, his children from from his first marriage, Teresa (Anthony) Kamradt, Loressa Torres-Vargas, Yolanda (Daniella) Torres, Zenaida (Johnny) Weinburger, Ruben G. Torres, Jr., Frances (Ralph) Padilla, along with his first wife, Frances Martinez, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; his second wife Theresa Simpson and daughter Bailee (Daniel) D'Arcangelis-Eton. 

Ruben, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, you will be truly missed and never forgotten. Always in our hearts.
