Sandra Gorell

Sandra Gorell of Lubbock passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the age of 70.  She was born on April 4, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Samuel Scott and Alma (Bonham) Buckner. On November 28, 1964 she married the love of her life Fred Gorell. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and cherished her time with family and friends. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Fred; daughter, Dawn Rampy and husband Mark of Lubbock; sons, Michael Gorell of Lubbock and Bryan Gorell and wife Melanie of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; six brothers, Buddy, Bill, Dean, Sammy, Gary and Jake Buckner; two sisters, Gaye Hicks and Ann Hodges; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marty Reindal, Bitty Chisum, Louise Buckner; and brother, Jay Buckner.

Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
